The mice are six cream-coloured mice who hum at midnight in Dr. Seuss' ABC.

- Minerva - Minerva is a mouse who can cast spells, such as turning the Moon into cheese.
- Melinda - Melinda is a mouse and the daughter of Mary, who is given homemade muffins with marmalade by her mother.
- Mary - Mary is a mouse and the mother of Melinda, who gives Melinda homemade muffins with marmalade and says she will make more on Monday, and shows off her magenta mittens and muffler.
- Mike - Mike is a mailmouse, who will deliver a letter to each of the other mice, while calling their names, prompting them to thank him.

If "many mumbling mice" is clicked, they will talk inaudibly.
When "midnight music" is clicked, they will play mandolins.
If "moonlight" is clicked, two will bow in a patch of moonlight and the others will applaud.
If "mighty nice" is clicked, the mice will repeat the phrase and add "Mm-mm!".
If one pine tree appears, the Giant Cat will meow, scaring them into their holes, but Mary and Mike will be brave enough to wave hello to the cat, with Mary saying, "Hi!".
